Job summary

Burlington Stores in Swedesboro, NJ seeks a Distribution Center (DC) Area Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations and lead a team of associates to receive, store, pack and ship merchandise safely and efficiently. This salaried role emphasizes policy adherence, coaching, and big-picture supply chain performance.

The position requires a related degree or equivalent experience, 3+ years of leadership in distribution, and strong proficiency with MS Office and WMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or related field) or combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years’ experience leading in a high-volume distribution environment.
• Management/leadership experience in a supply chain distribution center environment.
• Experience implementing employee engagement, mentoring/coaching and development initiatives.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Warehouse Management Systems preferred.
• Able to read and interpret necessary policies and procedures to perform updates and operate systems and other programs within the Distribution Center.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Ability to access all areas of the Distribution Center, including the Mezzanine platforms.
• Ability to lift and move boxes weighing 40 lbs. or more and the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Bi-lingual a plus.

Position Overview

As the Distribution Center (DC) Area Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of warehouse operations, while leading a team of Distribution Center Associates in efficiently and effectively executing shipping / receiving responsibilities safely, productively and in accordance with company policies and procedures. You will be a key player in our supply chain operation, ensuring all DC operations run smoothly so we can ensure merchandise is being received, processed, stored, packed, and shipped properly to help us achieve our mission to get the right products to the right stores at the right time! SHIFT: Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 3:00am

You’ll Come With
