Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Center Area Manager in California to oversee daily warehouse operations and lead a team of associates in safe, efficient shipping and receiving tasks.

You will drive performance, ensure adherence to policies, and leverage WMS and reporting tools to meet our goals of timely product flow to stores. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of distribution leadership experience, strong coaching ability, and capable collaboration skills across departments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management or related field preferred.
3+ years’ experience leading in a high-volume distribution environment.
Management/leadership experience in a supply chain distribution center environment.
Experience implementing employee engagement, mentoring/coaching and development initiatives.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Position OverviewAs the Distribution Center (DC) Area Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of warehouse operations, while leading a team of Distribution Center Associates in efficiently and effectively executing shipping / receiving responsibilities safely, productively and in accordance with company policies and procedures. You will be a key player in our supply chain operation, ensuring all DC operations run smoothly so we can ensure merchandise is being received, processed, stored, packed, and shipped properly to help us achieve our mission to get the right products to the right stores at the right time! SHIFT: Tuesday - Friday 4:00pm - 2:00am

You’ll Come With

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or similarly related field) or a combination of education and experience
3+ years’ experience leading in a high-volume distribution environment
Management/leadership experience in a supply chain distribution center environment
Experience implementing employee engagement, mentoring/coaching and development initiatives
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Warehouse Management Systems preferred
Able to read and interpret necessary policies and procedures to perform updates and operate systems and other programs within the Distribution Center
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Ability to access all areas of the Distribution Center, including the Mezzanine platforms
Ability to lift and move boxes weighing 40 lbs. or more and the ability to stand for extended periods of time
Bi-lingual a plus
