Job summary

At Home is seeking a Powered Equipment Operator for our Plano DC to safely move pallets and operate Electric Pallet Jack, forklift, and related machinery on the 2nd shift. You will follow safety rules, perform routine equipment checks, and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of related experience, ability to lift 50 pounds, and willingness to work overtime including weekends in a non climate-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Must be able to pass equipment certification test and demonstrate proficiency in driving equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Overtime will be required, including weekends.
• Work environment may be non-climate-controlled (cold & heat).

Responsibilities

• Promptly moves pallets and items to assigned dock doors as directed.
• Operates all machinery safely at all times.
• Performs daily checks of machinery.
• Reports mechanical irregularities to DC Managers.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and adheres to safety rules.
• Performs other duties as required and assists in other warehouse functions.

2nd shift Hours: 2:30pm to 11:00pm, Monday- Friday

Job Summary

The Powered Equipment Operator is responsible for safely handling and maneuvering Electric Pallet Jack, Forklift or other machinery within the DC.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Promptly moves pallets and other items needing movement to assigned dock doors as directed by DC Personnel
• Operates all machinery in a safe manner at all times
• Performs daily check of machinery
• Reports any mechanical irregularities to DC Managers at once
• Performs all duties in a safe, accurate and timely manner
• Maintains a clean work area at all times
• Adheres to all Safety rules and regulations
• Conducts other duties as required and assigned
• Assists in other warehouse functions as directed

Qualifications & Competencies:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency
• Minimum 1 year of related experience a plus
• Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
• Must be able to pass equipment certification test and show proficiency in driving equipment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environment (cold & heat)
• Some overtime required including weekend work
