Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Distribution Center maintenance technician to uphold facility and equipment reliability. You will perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on material-handling gear, following CMMS schedules and manufacturer guidance to maximize Operations performance.

The role requires knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical theory, and the ability to operate or climb to high locations and lift heavy parts while maintaining safe practices.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or 2+ years in maintenance environment.
• Knowledge of industrial electricity, motors and sensors.
• At least 6 months with hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of mechanical theory including bearings and hydraulics.
• Able to climb to 100 ft for repairs.
• Able to lift up to 80 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and minor repairs on DC equipment.
• Use CMMS-generated worksheets to maintain machinery per manufacturer guidance.
• Keep material handling equipment running by clearing jams and removing foreign material.
• Carry out general building maintenance such as lamp replacement, wiring, doors and plumbing repairs.
