Job summary

Tractor Supply is hiring a Maintenance Technician I to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain powered equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and productive environment for team members, vendors and visitors. The role focuses on servicing conveyors, power equipment, batteries, dock equipment, lighting and HVAC, following safety protocols and LOTO when required.

Required is at least 1 year in a similar industrial setting, with a high school diploma and relevant trade certifications

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced industrial or warehouse environment.
• Education includes high school diploma or equivalent; additional mechanical, electrical, welding, HVAC or plumbing coursework is preferred.
• Trade/technical certification related to facility maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt professional service to internal customers to ensure assets meet business needs and a safe working environment.
• Record time and parts in the CMMS for accuracy of inventory and man-hour reporting.
• Perform preventative and repair service on facility assets including conveyors, power equipment, batteries, dock equipment, racking, lighting and HVAC.

We are hiring for a variety of shifts. Please see below for the shifts we are currently hiring for:
Shift 10B - Tuesday to Friday from 4:30 PM to 2:30 AM EST.
Shift 12A - Saturday to Monday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST.
A Maintenance Technician I is responsible for the installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining of powered equipment, facility, and grounds to provide a safe and productive work environment for all team members, vendors, and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

• Provide prompt professional service to internal customers to ensure business needs in regards to assets are being met and a safe working environment procured.
• Capture all associated time and parts into the CMMS program to maintain record keeping integrity for part’s inventory and man-hour reporting.
• Deliver preventative and repair service to all assets of the facility, not limited to the conveyor system, power equipment, industrial batteries, dock equipment, racking system, lighting and HVAC.
• Observe machine systems for proper and safe operation; repair and communicate accordingly.
• Perform service measures in accordance with vendor specified procedures, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Prioritize duties based on level of impact and business need.
• Meet compliance with lock out / tag out (LOTO) and Arc Flash guidelines at all times.

Required Qualifications

Experience : Minimum 1-year experience in a fast paced industrial or warehouse environment delivering maintenance service to power equipment, consisting of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.

Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Additional course work or on job training in mechanical, electrical, welding, controls, HVAC or plumbing preferred.

Professional Certifications : Any trade/technical certification related to facility maintenance preferred

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

Able to read and follow service manuals, assembly drawings, schematics in either print or digital form. Able to productively navigate basic computer applications.

Working Conditions

• Ability to work in a physical environment that is subject to temperature extremes, movement of mobile and fixed equipment, and other conditions associated with a warehouse operation
• Walking on inclines and other potentially wet or slippery surfaces as well as the use of steps or ladders
• Varying temperatures, noise levels, and air quality may exist
• Required use of PPE for some aspects of the position
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
