Job summary

AutoZone is seeking a Distribution Center Maintenance Manager to ensure optimal operation of equipment, electrical systems, and building infrastructure. You will lead preventive maintenance, manage vendor relations, and train staff to uphold safety and efficiency.

The role involves overseeing 100+ weekly work orders, guiding teams across shifts, and driving continuous improvement in automation and material handling within a large distribution center environment.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in a maintenance leadership role overseeing teams and operations.
• 4+ years in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on CMMS experience for preventive maintenance programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Flexible to work varying shifts.
• Willingness to travel for training and site support.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and 100+ weekly work orders.
• Lead maintenance teams, assign workloads, coach mechanics, and ensure cross-training.
• Manage vendors and outside services for specialized maintenance and repairs.
• Monitor CMMS to track work orders and optimize maintenance programs.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain audit and safety documentation.
• Manage budgets for parts, equipment, and materials; negotiate vendor contracts.
• Research and implement new technologies to improve equipment and facility efficiency.
• Monitor facility conditions to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Drive continuous improvement in automated control systems and material handling.
