Job summary

CBCF State Farm Communications Internship Program is inviting applicants for a semester-long internship to work in Washington, D.C. and local communities.

Interns will be placed in various congressional offices, committees, subcommittees, or federal agencies, gaining exposure to policy development and the legislative process. The program runs in person from August 22 to December 13, 2026, with a $4,000 housing stipend provided and biweekly payments.

Qualifications

• GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
• College graduate by start of Fall program or not graduated more than 2 years before start.
• U.S. citizenship or work permit for the duration of the program (Aug 22–Dec 13, 2026).
• Full-time availability upon acceptance.
• No graduate degree yet; not enrolled in graduate studies.
• Not enrolled in classes for the duration (credit possible with university approval).
• Familiarity with the federal legislative process, the U.S. Congress, CBC and related policy.
• Superior analytical skills.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interns will be placed in congressional offices, committees, subcommittees, or federal agencies.
• Attend briefings and participate in program activities Aug 22–Dec 13, 2026.
• Develop understanding of legislative process and policy development.
