Job summary

Factory Motor Parts is hiring a CDL Delivery Driver for our Branford, CT distribution center. The role involves timely, safe, and accurate delivery of automotive parts to customer sites using a company vehicle, with overnight schedules starting between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

HazMat handling is required to meet DOT and safety standards. You will be part of a safety‑minded team offering home daily schedule, year‑round work, paid training, and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• CDL Class B or higher with HazMat Endorsement.
• 1+ years of CDL driving experience.
• Strong people and verbal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to read a map or understand geographic area.

Responsibilities

• Drive courteously and safely using defensive driving.
• Professionally communicate with customers at their site as the face of Factory Motor Parts.
• Keep the vehicle clean and in good working order.
• Accurately write up customer returns.
• Demonstrate safety on the road and in the warehouse.
• Handle hazardous materials.
• Participate in yearly physical inventories.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

TheCDL Delivery Driveris responsible for the timely, safe and accurate delivery of customer’s automotive parts to their location using a company provided vehicle without incident.

Earning Potential: $75,000–$90,000 annually, based on hourly pay with consistent overtime opportunities. Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable wage laws and scheduled in compliance with DOT regulations.

Position responsibilities also include:

• Driving courteously and safely using defensive driving skills.
• Professional communication with customers at their site. Representing the “face of Factory Motor Parts” to customers.
• Keeping the vehicle clean and in good working order
• Ability to write up customers returns accurately.
• Demonstrate the ability to be “safe” on the road and when in the warehouse. Ability to drive in various road conditions safely.
• Must be able to handle hazardous materials.
• Participate in yearly physical inventories.
• Any other tasks requested by management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

This position requires:

• Must be 21 or older
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) class B or better with HazMat Endorsement
• 1+ years of CDL driving experience required
• Strong people and verbal skills
• Ability to interact with various levels of management and customers
• Ability to lift 75 pounds
• Ability to read a map or understanding of geographic area
