Job summary

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is seeking a Global Health Policy Center Research Intern in Washington, DC. The role provides hourly pay and supports research, events, and communications for global health policy initiatives.

Ideal candidates are undergraduate students with interest in global health, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work 28–35 hours weekly on-site. Training and mentorship are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be an undergraduate student and rising junior.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular research to support preparation for meetings, events, publications, and research trips.
• Provide logistical support to ensure that Global Health Policy Center private and public events run smoothly by: creating meeting materials, assisting with room setup and guest registration, taking notes during the event, and other event related logistics.
• Attend relevant global health events in Washington, D.C. and provide a summary to Global Health Policy Center staff.
• Consult a wide variety of news services and peer reviewed journals and prepare memos to brief Global Health Policy Center staff.
• Support the production of social media and other multimedia content.
• Other duties as assigned.
