Job summary

tannercareers seeks a licensed eligible therapist to provide DBT-based treatment for adolescents and adults. The role involves group and individual therapy, plus family/couples sessions, under the direction of a treatment team.

Applicants must hold a Master's degree in counseling or related fields and obtain CPR and Level II SCIPP within 90 days. Strong crisis management, confidentiality, and data-entry skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Ability to concentrate on the task in high traffic areas.
• Ability to deal with a crisis and potentially combative patients while maintaining personal and emotional terminology.

• Assessment and intervention skills.
• Basic data entry skills required and preference for basic computer skills.
• Employee will obtain initial CPR and Level II SCIPP certification within 90 days of employment.
• Familiar with clinical terminology.
• Familiarity with the continuum of care.
• Knowledge of DSM IV diagnostic criteria.
• Legible handwriting.
• Must have Master's degree in counseling or related fields and be license eligible (must hold license within 18 months of job date). Substance Abuse counselors MUST have a bachelor's degree and have certification equal to a CAC-1
• Persuasive manner and skills in overcoming denial and resistance to treatment.
• Time management and sound organization skills.
