Job description

DB2 Warehouse Administrator will be providing technical and operational support for activities of Database Servers, including installation, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, tuning, and optimizing.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Minimum Three (3) years of experience with IBM DB2 Warehouse 11.X up till latest version hosted on AIX and/or Linux platform.
2. Install, monitor, and maintain DB2 Warehouse, implement monitoring and alerting, implement backup and recovery processes; provide system and SQL performance tuning.
3. DB2 Warehouse Administration tasks like Loading Data.
4. Strong hands-on experience in native administration commands on the command line of the host.
5. Using Data replication for Continuous Availability, Configuring DB2 Warehouse, Backup & Recovery and Monitoring, Configuring S-TAP.
6. Experience of migrating DB2 Warehouse from one platform to another and on-prem to cloud.
7. Manage Security for IBM DB2 Warehouse, SSL, Setting up External Directory Server.
8. Deploying the IBM Db2 Warehouse client container.
9. Good knowledge of docker/Kubernetes based DB2 warehouse MPP deployment.
10. Hands-on in any of the Unix/Linux programming languages such as UNIX shell scripting, Python, or Perl experience.
11. Provide expertise related to DB performance, HA, and scalability.
12. DR Planning and execution in HA environments.
13. Ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve live database systems issues.
14. Participate in the creation of development, staging, and production database instances, and the migration from one environment to another.
15. Hands-on knowledge in proactive remediation of database operational problems.
16. Stay current with new database technology developments and techniques, research new software and tools, proactively recommend improvements.
17. Good knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Git, Jenkins.
18. Functional experience of Unix/Linux & Windows operating systems.
