Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology or Business or related plus 1 year experience as a Computer Software Professional or BS equivalent (3 year bachelor plus 1 year) and 1 year experience as Computer Software Professional.
• Jobs based in Madison, WI. No travel (US or Intl), but 40% chance of relocation to unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data for manufacturing and consumer ratio of insurance, drugs and pharmacy products.
• Create logical, physical database designs for DB2 UDB.
• Install, maintain, backup, restore and troubleshoot problems with databases.
• Work with RDBMS database design, writing stored procedures and SQL queries.
• Engage in production support for DB2 UDB including backup and recovery, replication, data movement, performance tuning, capacity planning and provisioning, space administration and security role administration.
• Work in data movement utilities such as IMPORT, EXPORT, LOAD and DB2MOVE.
• Perform database administration tasks such as running reorg, runstats, import, export, Explain, db2advis, taking snapshots, checking memory and performing backup and recovery using TSM and NetBackup.
