Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking an Outdoor Lighting Operational Lead based in Dayton, Ohio. The role will oversee street lighting maintenance and construction, working with multiple contractors and stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable service across AES Ohio service territory.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree (Business or Engineering preferred) and 5+ years of professional experience. A hybrid schedule with potential to work from home up to one day per week is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Business or Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Good problem solving and resource management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operating plans for street lighting; monitor system status and take corrective actions.
• Supervise contractor technical personnel performing real-time actions for street lighting.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external staff and key accounts.
• Maintain a strong safety focus in field operations and in the office.
• Evaluate lighting products for quality and maintenance needs.
• Evaluate lighting contractors for qualifications with a focus on safe operations.
• Manage material ordering for maintenance, including special orders with multiple vendors.
• Track progress of programs like LED Mass Change Out; plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with AES policies, controls, and corporate standards.
• Identify problems, analyze root causes, and implement solutions.
