Job summary

Carroll Community College is currently seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach continuing education students in basic and advanced welding during daytime hours. Instruction focuses on introducing students to the welding trade, emphasizing workplace safety, welding theory, metal preparation, fabrication, and a variety of welding processes and techniques.

Faculty will provide hands‑on training and support student skill development in a laboratory environment while preparing students for AWS

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of ARC/MIG/TIG welding experience with proficiency in AWS D1.1 standards.
• Strong communication, presentation, and critical thinking skills are required.
• Teaching experience and additional relevant industry certifications are preferred.
• Candidates must be available to teach classes during daytime hours.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and laboratory instruction in welding techniques.
• Monitor safe equipment operation and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for AWS D1.1 welder qualification and entry-level employment.
