Job summary

Central York School District at Central York High School seeks a Full-Time 1st Shift Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. This daytime role requires attention to detail and teamwork to keep classrooms, hallways and common areas in excellent order.

The position features an 8-hour day, 260 workdays per year, and duties include cleaning, restrooms, and basic maintenance tasks with opportunities to contribute to a positive school experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have and maintain a current driver's license.
• 1 to 3 years of custodial work experience.
• Must obtain PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Background Checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties in classrooms, corridors, libraries, cafeterias, restrooms and offices.
• Dust, sweep, mop floors and sanitize fixtures; clean windows and walls.
• Respond to office requests for deliveries and supplies.
• Secure buildings, lock/unlock doors; lift or move furniture as needed.
• Report maintenance issues and assist in summer cleaning projects.
