Antler Daycare Teacher PM at Deer Creek School District seeks an individual to provide a safe, nurturing classroom environment and engage children through developmentally appropriate activities. You will supervise students, maintain a clean space, and communicate with families and coworkers to support each child's growth.

The role requires a high school diploma, willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification, and adherence to childcare licensing and background checks.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification or already hold a current certification.
  • Must pass required background checks and meet all childcare licensing requirements.

  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for all children in the classroom.
  • Supervise children at all times and follow all safety and childcare licensing requirements.
  • Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities that support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  • Build positive relationships with children and respond to their individual needs with patience and care.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Follow daily classroom schedules, routines, and center policies.
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally with parents, families, and coworkers.
  • Assist children with daily routines, including meals, toileting, handwashing, and rest periods as developmentally appropriate.
  • Observe and document children's development, behavior, and progress as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and administration to provide consistent, high-quality care.
  • Follow proper procedures for attendance, sign-in/sign-out, incident reporting, and classroom documentation.
  • Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain current CPR/First Aid certification or complete certification within the required timeframe.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, flexibility, and a positive attitude while supporting the overall goals of the daycare program.
