Job summary

El Way Childcare and Learning Center is hiring a reliable, organized Kitchen Assistant to help prepare fresh, healthy meals for children in our daycare. The role supports a team and maintains a clean, safe kitchen environment.

The position offers 25–35 hours per week with pay ranging from $16.50 to $17.50 per hour (DOE). We will train the right candidate, even if you lack prior kitchen experience.

Qualifications

• Reliable, dependable, and detail oriented.
• Kitchen or food-service experience preferred but not required—we will train the right candidate!
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion meals and snacks.
• Wash dishes and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen.
• Follow food-safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with meal service and step into the lead role when needed.
• Monitor supplies and make occasional local grocery/food runs using a company vehicle.
