Job summary

Mitchell Companies, Inc. is seeking a Day Warehouse Associate in Thomasville, NC. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday from 7am to 3pm in a climate-controlled warehouse environment.

The position involves heavy lifting up to 50 lbs, operating forklifts and scanners, and accurate order fulfillment with strong emphasis on safety and efficiency. Compensation includes $16.00 per hour plus a quarterly bonus of $500, with a supportive team and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse experience with familiarity in order fulfillment, picking & packing, and inventory management is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other heavy machinery.
• Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software for tracking inventory and orders.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials handling tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with quality control standards.
• Warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for those interested in leadership roles.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking, stocking, and load & unload activities.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently
• Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick, pack, and process orders for shipment
• Conduct stock stocking, order picking, packing, and quality control checks to ensure accuracy and product integrity
• Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation
• Handle materials with care during loading and unloading to prevent damage and ensure safety standards are met
• Assist in warehouse supervision tasks such as coordinating team activities, training new associates, and maintaining workflow efficiency
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting on equipment when necessary and report maintenance needs promptly
