Job summary

Ogden Regional Medical Center in Ogden, UT, is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for Same Day Surgery. You will care for patients undergoing operative and invasive procedures and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safety and high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include preoperative assessment, patient and family education, IV therapy, medication administration, and adherence to universal protocols. BLS certification and UtahRN license are required.

Qualifications

• Utah RN license or compact required.
• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• BLS/BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verifications and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team including providers and surgeons.
• Apply nursing process and critical thinking to deliver safe nursing care.
• Assess patient condition and document changes during shift.
• Educate patients and families about the condition, treatment and follow-up.
