Job summary

Food City in Morristown, AZ is seeking a store associate to stock merchandise, assist customers, unload trucks, and maintain clean, organized aisles and back-room areas. You will ensure pricing accuracy and proper shelf placement while delivering friendly service. Flexibility for on-site shifts is required.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork, with opportunities to participate in daily stocking routines and inventory controls in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Stocking experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to meet physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and perform routine tasks.
• On-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to time policies.

Responsibilities

• Stock all merchandise in its proper location as per shelf allocation.
• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
• Replace misplaced items to the proper location and unload trucks.
• Sweep, mop, and keep areas store-friendly and clean.
• Check shelf labels for pricing accuracy and rotate merchandise for freshness.

Job description

Essential Job Functions:

• Stock all merchandise in its proper location according to shelf allocation established by management.
• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
• Replace misplaced items to the proper location.
• Unload trucks.
• Sweep and mop all areas of store.
• Check the shelf label of each item to ensure pricing accuracy.
• Keep stockroom area neat and clean.
• Properly remove and dispose of all trash.
• Rotate all merchandise when stocking to ensure freshness and quality.
• Clean and straighten shelves.
• Responsible for hanging shelf tags.
• Stack product in stockroom.
• Bale all boxes.

Job Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Stocking experience a plus, but not required
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
