Job summary

Ideal Sushi Supply Co. in Salem, OR is seeking a Picker/Packer for the day shift to pull items from a list and pack them for shipment. You will ensure accuracy and timeliness in order fulfillment within a growing warehouse team.

This role requires knowledge of warehouse operations, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; forklift certification or ability to obtain it is required, and opportunities for growth are available.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of products and proper housing/packing methods.
• Experience in warehouse or inventory departments.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to analyze large data sets.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, checking in, and signing off on incoming and outgoing products.
• Keeps products separated, organized and in good rotation.
• Communicates with Inventory, Sales and Purchasing about low or excess stock items as needed.
• Performs quality control checks on stored inventory and reports issues.
• Reads and understands purchase orders and invoices.
• Reports discrepancies in inventory that indicate theft or damaged items.
• Creates and updates databases and records as needed.
• Provides logistical support to warehouse staff and operations.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Assists colleagues whenever there is an opportunity to do so.
• Ensures the accuracy of the organization files and documents.
• Maintains the accuracy of historical data and records.
