Job summary

Avantor in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Material Handler to accurately receive, store, pick, and ship products, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. This full-time role operates Monday–Friday 7:30am–4:00pm with some flexibility.

Responsibilities include unloading inbound shipments, performing accurate order picking, coordinating outbound shipments, maintaining equipment, and assisting with inventory control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or desired.
• At least 1 year of warehousing and material handling experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel) and warehouse systems.
• MRP/Inventory systems experience (SAP) preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds; safety-focused and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Inbound: unload shipments, check against manifest, report shortages or defects.
• Order Picking: verify product numbers, quantities, lot/serial numbers, and move to shipping.
• Outbound: ensure accuracy of shipments and sign for outbound as needed.
• Equipment: operate and maintain equipment safely; follow OSHA standards.
• Inventory: keep accurate records; assist physical counts and cycle counts.
• Other Duties: re-pack, repair damaged goods, operate shrink-wrap, assist with duties as assigned.
