Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Forklift Operator for a contract-to-hire role based in Manahawkin, NJ. The position runs 7am to 4pm, Monday through Friday, and is fully onsite in a fast-paced warehouse and yard environment.

You will operate forklifts, pull and prepare orders, build pallets for shipping, and handle shipping/receiving tasks using RF scanners. Candidates must lift up to 50 lbs and maintain safety standards in all conditions.

Qualifications

• Proven warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on experience operating forklifts for loading, unloading, and material handling.
• Experience in shipping and receiving, including handling incoming and outgoing orders.
• Ability to use RF scan equipment for inventory tracking and order verification.
• Capability to lift and move up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order pulling and pallet building.
• Ability to work efficiently outdoors and in a yard setting.
• Reliability and responsiveness to changing customer demands and operational priorities.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload products within the warehouse and yard.
• Pull orders accurately based on pick lists or RF scan instructions and prepare them for shipment.
• Build stable and organized pallets of product for shipping, ensuring proper stacking and securing of materials.
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including checking incoming and outgoing loads for accuracy and condition.
• Use RF scanning equipment to track inventory movement, confirm orders, and update stock records.
• Load and unload trucks and other vehicles, ensuring products are handled carefully and placed in the correct locations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in both the warehouse and outdoor yard.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of equipment and adherence to material handling guidelines.
• React quickly to changing customer demands and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs as needed to support warehouse and yard operations.
