Job summary

Kloeckner Metals Corporation in Chicago, IL is seeking a Warehouseman to manage material movement and handling at the plant. You will operate overhead cranes and forklifts, tag and ship materials, and support production line readiness during the 1st shift (5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.).

Required education is a High School diploma or GED with 1–3 months of related experience or training. You must be reliable, detail oriented, and able to perform basic arithmetic for weights, measures, and inventory.

• Basic arithmetic for weights, measures and inventory.
• Reliability and attention to detail are essential.
• Prior experience in a metals warehouse is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates overhead cranes, forklifts to load and unload materials.
• Receives inventory, tags and documents items accurately.
• Maintains production line equipment with necessary materials.
• Uses computer systems to tag, ship and receive materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
