Job summary

Southern Champion Tray, LP in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Warehouse Assistant for the Day Shift (3 Day/12 Hour). You will verify and record shipments, prepare items for shipment, and manage pallet inventory for production.

Responsibilities include unloading/loading trailers, inspecting pallets for AIB compliance, maintaining cleanliness, and performing daily forklift checks. A high school diploma or GED and basic computer skills are required; forklift certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use software.
• Must be able to read English documents and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments and inventory.
• Prepare items for shipment and manage pallet inventory for production.
• Receive, unload, sort, and stage pallets; ensure pallet integrity and labeling.
• Load/unload trailers, lock and chock equipment, and follow safety procedures.
• Inspect shipments for quality and quantity; document findings.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area; perform forklift daily checks.
• Assist with physical inventory and communicate with team via email/phone.
• Be a certified forklift operator and carry certification onsite.
