Job summary

Christensen Farms is hiring Sanitation Technicians to support one of the largest family-owned pork producers in the United States. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on washing and sanitizing livestock trailers in adherence to biosecurity procedures, with occasional overtime and wet conditions.

Responsibilities include cleaning trailers, pits, wash bays, and clothing, communicating with the Truck Wash Supervisor, following SOPs, and helping maintain a safe, efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Position requires a minimum lifting ability of 50 lbs.
• Ideal candidates will be dependable, able to learn new tasks and follow directions, and work with minimal supervision.
• Position requires strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Proper cleaning and disinfecting of livestock trailers
• Cleaning of pits and wash bays
• Washing of clothes and towels
• Communicate effectively with the Truck Wash Supervisor and other Wash and dry bay Staff
• Follow all wash Standard Operating Procedures
• Perform light duty maintenance as needed
• Inform Truck Wash Supervisor of equipment issues
• Suggest, plan, and implement Standard Operating Procedures
• Assist in providing a safe work environment
• Provide feedback to Truck Wash Supervisor
• Assist Truck Wash Supervisor in ordering supplies to maintain appropriate inventory
• Care and maintenance of equipment
