Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies in Missouri seeks a Full-Time Day Shift Registered Nurse to support the St. Charles County Department of Corrections. The RN will provide quality care within scope of practice, coordinate with the healthcare team, and advocate for patients.

Minimum requirements include graduation from an accredited school of nursing, active RN licensure in Missouri, and CPR certification; background checks and drug screens are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• Active CPR certification.
• Remains knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions.
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' condition.
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
• Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.
• Direct or supervise nursing staff or a unit.
• Prepare patients for examinations or treatments.
• Instruct individuals or families on health topics and develop health improvement programs.
• Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, and supplies and maintain stock.
