Mars Petcare is hiring a Shift Manager - Days at our Kansas City, MO manufacturing site. The role oversees a multi-line production area, ensuring safe, efficient conversion of materials into quality products.

You will train teams, enforce policy, and drive continuous improvement across the shift. The position requires an undergraduate degree or equivalent, 5+ years in manufacturing, and 3+ years in a supervisory role, with GMP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent, preferably in engineering/science/business.
• Five years experience in a production environment.
• Three years experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Working knowledge of GMP.

Responsibilities

• Manage operating teams on one shift to convert materials into quality products safely and efficiently.
• Recommend and implement changes in methods, equipment, systems and organization to meet line objectives.
• Oversee associate relations, hiring, training, retraining, development and motivation with minimal guidance.
• Set line performance standards; measure, control, and report results.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair process/packaging equipment to achieve target performance.
• Foster open communications and opportunities to broaden team scope and responsibilities.
• Advise on technological changes and forward-line improvements.
• Support associate development and management of performance with ongoing feedback.
