Job summary

Henry Ford Macomb Hospital Fraser is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist for a full-time day shift to evaluate patients, plan treatments, and collaborate with the care team to restore function and reduce pain.

This role requires a PT degree and Michigan licensure, with CAPTE-accredited credentials preferred, and offers mentorship and opportunities to contribute to program development at HFHS Fraser.

Qualifications

• Physical Therapist degree (BPT) required with 5 years of experience, or a master’s/doctorate from a CAPTE-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessment, treatment, discharge planning and collaboration with other health care providers.
• Documents patient care and billing information timely and in accordance with department standards.
• Communicates with co-workers, and other professionals, including physicians and nurses as needed to ensure optimal patient care.
• Functions as a team member in care of patients and in mentoring with other staff.
• Delegates aspects of patient care to support staff per PT/PTA MI Licensure Administrative Rules providing necessary communication and supervision.
• Maintains clinical productivity standards.
• Maintains technical clinical expertise through ongoing clinical education.
• Participates in in-services, staff meetings, quality activities and aspects of program development.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy

Master’s/Doctorate from CAPTE-accredited program
