Qualifications

• Current operating room experience or completion of perioperative internship program.
• Ability to perform assessments and nursing functions as required in perioperative care.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists operating physician with surgical tasks (homeostasis, suturing, wound exposure) and patient positioning.
• Performs circulating functions: monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition; manages overall nursing care.
• Performs scrub functions: instrument and supply handling during procedures.
• Ensures sterile field integrity and verifies indicators in loads; collaborates with physicians and team.
• Collects data to determine diagnoses and issues; maintains safety and sanitation standards.
