Job summary

Saint Joseph Hospital - Elgin is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist to provide medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services for patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and cardiopulmonary disorders. You will work within hospital policies and scope of practice while collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team.

Requirements include a Bachelor or Master in OT, current state OT license, BCLS, and NBCOT/AOTA/OTAC preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate.
• National Board for Certification Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic OT services to restore function and prevent disability.
• Functions within department and Hospital Policies, state, federal and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborates as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.
