Job summary

Jamco Products Inc. in South Beloit, Illinois seeks a skilled MIG Welder II to perform advanced MIG welding on a variety of metals, following detailed blueprints and welding symbols. You will read complex plans, set up equipment, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity.

You will mentor junior welders, participate in training, and collaborate with engineers to continuously improve processes. Shift: Mon–Fri 6:00am–2:30pm, Wage: $24.00/hour (+DOE), on-site work environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; welding cert preferred.
• 2–3 years MIG welding experience minimum.
• Ability to read complex blueprints and welding symbols.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced MIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions with precision.
• Set up and adjust welding equipment for optimal performance.
• Read blueprints and welding symbols to determine precise specs.
• Inspect welds and rework defects to meet quality standards.
• Mentor junior welders and provide training on techniques and safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow PPE rules.
• Move between north and south buildings as needed to meet production goals.
