Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a 13-week contract in Kansas. This daytime, Monday–Friday role offers no nights, weekends, or call, with a patient-centered imaging team. You will perform breast imaging per MQSA standards, ensure high-quality images, prepare reports, and maintain documentation for ACR and FDA compliance.

Qualifications

• Active ARRT(M) certification required.
• Valid Kansas state radiologic technologist license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated experience as a mammography or mammo tech.
• Strong proficiency with EMR systems (Meditech preferred).
• Commitment to documentation for ACR and FDA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform physician-prescribed mammography procedures with accuracy and compassion.
• Operate mammography radiographic equipment, ensuring safe and high-quality imaging.
• Evaluate image data for diagnostic quality, obtaining additional images as warranted.
• Clearly explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout.
• Oversee and participate in all patient communication requirements per MQSA/FDA/ACR standards (reports, recall/reminder letters, biopsy reports, etc.).
• Chart charges and procedures accurately within the hospital billing system.
• Carry out daily quality control functions and preventive maintenance on imaging equipment.
• Take part in all quality assurance and accreditation efforts of the imaging department.
• Compile and maintain statistical data (biopsy, surgical reports) for regulatory requirements.
• Proactively prepare for subsequent day’s mammography schedule, including obtaining prior exams and reports for radiologist review.
• Assist colleagues and function as a Radiology Technologist during downtime in mammography.
