Job summary

Reid Health in Ohio seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to be the first point of care in the provider’s office under the direction of the provider and Practice Manager. You will support procedures, assist with examinations, and perform routine labs as needed.

You will triage calls, educate patients, prepare rooms, document visits, handle labs, tests, and referrals, and help maintain chart accuracy and compliance with CLIA and RHPA standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited nursing program (LPN).
• One year experience in a medical practice or health care setting.
• Licensure in the state of Ohio as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Triage patient phone calls, review test results, and manage medications.
• Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and prepare procedure trays.
• Assist providers with patient procedures and administer injections/immunizations.
• Record visits, diagnoses and procedures for billing and charting.
• Perform routine lab tests and handle specimen processing and offsite labs.
• Schedule tests and referrals, contact pharmacies, and coordinate patient care.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with CLIA and RHPA standards.
• Be capable of identifying problems affecting test performance and notify supervisors.
• May perform Medicare Wellness Assessments as necessary.
