St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Housekeeping Linen Technician with daytime shifts to support patient care through clean linen processing.

The role involves receiving, storing, and distributing linen, data entry, and coordinating linen exchanges to ensure a safe hospital environment. You will weigh linen, inspect items, and partner with the housekeeping team to improve safety and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Environmental Service experience preferred.
• Previous Linen experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Receiving, storing, and distributing clean linen to ensure a safe environment.
• Weigh and record the weight of all clean linen the facility receives from commercial laundry.
• Complete the data entry for proper documentation of linen processed/received.
• Set up linen exchange or replenishment of carts as needed or scheduled.
• Assist with calls for emergencies pertaining to linen problems.
• Examine laundered items to ensure cleanliness and send torn linen to the seamstress to repair.
• Make recommendations to the Director of Housekeeping for changes in linen or procedures to improve safety and patient care or to reduce costs
