Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor to perform all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas inside buildings or at multiple client sites. The role requires flexibility to meet client specifications and maintain a clean, safe environment.

The position offers paid exposure to a variety of facilities with shift patterns from Monday through Sunday, 6am to 11am, totaling about 35 hours per week, at $16 per hour. Training will be provided as needed to ensure quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• On the job training will be provided.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and other objects.
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas.
• Empty trash cans for proper disposal; use of compactor for certain materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment.
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow housekeeping schedule.
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers.
• Other duties as assigned, as required by the scope of work or customer needs
