Job summary

Koch Fertilizer, LLC is seeking an Operations Technician to support the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of our fertilizer shipping and storage terminal in Trilla, IL. This role emphasizes troubleshooting, maintaining, and operating critical mechanical and physical systems related to fertilizer products, with emphasis on anhydrous ammonia processes.

The position offers a flexible day shift, Monday–Friday, with potential overnight travel to other terminals.

Qualifications

Hands-on mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting and repair.
Strong proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook.
Valid Driver's license.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, maintain, and operate refrigeration systems, storage tanks, and loading/unloading equipment for anhydrous ammonia and other fertilizer products.
Work across ammonia systems including refrigeration, heating, instrumentation, PLC controls, pumps, motors, and loading/unloading operations.
Follow established safety procedures and manage environmental risks with hazardous chemicals.
Perform regular preventive maintenance inspections and support Health & Safety audits.
Respond promptly to on-call requests and emergency situations.
