Job summary

DeKalb County Rehab & Nursing Center is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to perform routine cleaning duties across the nursing facility. The role supports resident comfort and safety, operating cleaning equipment and maintaining sanitation standards under supervision.

The position offers a full-time schedule with two shift options and rotating weekends/holidays, and includes full or limited benefits depending on the option chosen.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Must be honest, dependable with a caring demeanor.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, hallways and common areas on a scheduled basis.
• Operate housekeeping equipment (vacuums, floor machines, disinfectants).
• Dispose of trash and hazardous materials properly and restock supplies.
• Maintain storage areas and report supply shortages to supervisors.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with evacuations when needed.
