Job summary

gpac is seeking a Day Shift Electrical Technician for a premier specialty-food manufacturer. You will own a diverse automation platform across freezing, cooking, and high-speed lines, diagnosing 480V power, VFDs, servos, PLCs, robotics, and safety circuits.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and updating drawings, with a 6:00 AM start and occasional overtime. Competitive pay and robust benefits accompany a stable, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on industrial electrical maintenance experience.
Proven ability to troubleshoot 480V power systems, VFDs, motor controls, and PLCs independently.
New Jersey electrical license, journeyman card, or apprentice registration is a plus (not required).
Schedule flexibility with a 6:00 AM start and occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair 480V 3-phase electrical equipment, motor controls, VFDs, and servo systems.
Diagnose PLC I/O, ladder logic, and HMI faults using Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms.
Perform root-cause troubleshooting on robotics (ABB, Fanuc), instrumentation, sensors, and machine-safety circuits.
Conduct preventive maintenance, trace electrical schematics, update drawings, and identify critical spare parts.
Support capital equipment projects, contractor activities, and continuous process improvements.
