Job summary

Iowa State University is seeking a Motor Vehicle Operator II to deliver packages and palletized goods on a daily route across the ISU campus. The role involves physical work, lifting up to 100 lbs, and operating in a fast-paced warehouse environment with emphasis on safety and customer service.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm, with potential travel. The position requires one year of driving experience and a valid license for the appropriate vehicle class.

Qualifications

• One year of experience driving trucks.
• Possession of the appropriate class of driver license.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders to determine materials to be transported.
• Load and unload cargo, including hazardous materials or sensitive instruments.
• Secure cargo using chains, straps, and padding to prevent damage.
• Service vehicles and perform basic maintenance as required.
• Work as a Laborer when not driving and respond to emergency service calls.
