Job summary

Staffmark Group in Saint Benedict, LA is hiring a Custodian to keep our facilities clean, safe, and well-maintained. The role is hands-on, with a reliable weekly paycheck, and requires teamwork to meet cleanliness standards across all areas.

Typical duties include sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, restocking supplies, floor care such as buffing and waxing, and minor maintenance as needed. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work is preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
• Familiarity with floor care processes, including buffing and waxing, is advantageous.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks related to facility upkeep.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Good communication skills for interacting with team members and facility occupants.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming, in commercial settings.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and polishing to ensure floors are well-maintained.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly after use.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain a clean environment at all times.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure that all areas are cleaned according to established standards.
