Job summary

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC seeks an experienced RN for a full-time, day-shift role in Critical Care. You will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while engaging patients and families across the care continuum.

This position requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team. BSN preferred; BLS required and an active RN license (multi-state compact preferred).

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with multi-state compact or single-state privileges to practice where the client is located.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
