Job summary

Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley is seeking a proactive supervisor to support the Project Manager in all facets of site operations. You will oversee shelf-stocking, custodial, order writing and warehousing tasks to maximize efficiency.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training, safety compliance, and assisting with snow removal when needed, while maintaining OSHA and CARF standards and ensuring a safe environment for clients and staff.

Qualifications

• Two years of grocery store stocking operations experience.
• Ability to supervise, schedule and train staff.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.
• Forklift certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise client employees, coordinate training and duties at the project site.
• Interview, hire, and train employees; plan and direct work; appraise performance.
• Ensure policies are followed and safety drills conducted.
• Oversee stocking, custodial, order writing and warehousing operations.

Summary

To assist and support the project manager in all management facets of the project site and operations.

• Responsible for supervision of shelf-stocking, custodial, order writing and warehousing operation at the Commissary to efficiently utilize all personnel and equipment during assigned shift.
• Responsible for equipment and supplies (proper usage, maintenance, storage, replacement).
• Responsible for determining the work to be done and how it is done, with Project Manager.
• Responsible for scheduling and assigning all stocking and janitorial work tasks.
• Responsible to assist in performing stocking and janitorial duties, as needed.
• Responsible for managing and assisting with performing snow removal process when needed.
• Responsible for training and developing employees to reach their full potential and maintain stable workforce.
• Assist Project Manager in training all employees in basic disability awareness and issues.
• Responsible for ensuring that policies and procedures are properly followed.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of clients and employees.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
• Responsible for performance of safety drills and keeping the Commissary within OSHA and CARF standards.
• May be required to act as Project Manager, which includes walking all areas and making necessary corrections.
• Provide own transportation and adequate liability insurance for such.

• Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervise client employees, employees, coordinate training, and other duties as assigned at the project site. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education Requirements

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience Requirements

Two years of grocery store stocking operations experience.

• Ability to hear and respond to internal paging system and warning devices on custodial equipment and forklift.
