Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System – Great Bend Hospital is seeking a Full Time Day Shift CNA to support patient care under RN supervision, delivering compassionate, culturally sensitive service.

Key tasks include data collection, following individualized care plans, performing delegated care activities, documenting patient responses, and communicating with the health care team to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required.
• 6 months medical center experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects initial and ongoing data as delegated in regards to the health status of the patient based on chart documentation.
• Follows an individualized plan of care that promotes positive immediate and long-term outcomes for the patient/family and reflects the plan of the entire health care team.
• Carries out interventions safely and in compliance with policy to facilitate achievement of expected outcomes as delegated.
• Accurately documents patient response to intervention /therapy based upon expected outcomes.
• Carries out delegated patient care activities and communicates with other members of the healthcare team as evidenced by positive patient outcomes.
• Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
