Job summary

AZZ Inc. invites applications for a 1st shift Class A CDL Driver at our Peoria facility. You will deliver steel products safely and on time while maintaining excellent customer relationships. This role covers daily routes only, no over-the-road work.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will inspect vehicles, follow traffic laws, load/unload, and maintain accurate logs and receipts. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and growth opportunities in a dynamic industrial environment.

Qualifications

• CDL – Class A license required (not suspended).
• 2–5 years of commercial driving experience required.
• Experience operating a flatbed trailer truck.
• Experience hauling steel or industrial machinery preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor-trailer for daily routes (no OTR).
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment.
• Obey traffic laws and follow procedures.
• Load and unload trucks, vans, and/or automobiles.
• Record vehicle logs and cargo/billing statements.
• Read maps and follow directions.
