Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks an RN Clinical Charge Nurse to direct daily unit activities on a designated shift, ensuring safe and effective patient care. This role acts as a caregiver and leader, coordinating staff, patient flow, and clinical concerns within the WellStar governance and nursing practice model.

You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, participate in staffing, physician rounds, and bed management while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Licensed registered nurse in Georgia with current licensure.
• Strong leadership and staff coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment inventory and ensure tools are available for patient care.
• Plan staffing resources and manage shortages or surges.
• Review discharge planning and length of stay to optimize patient flow.
• Round with physicians and surgeons to discuss patient care and bed needs.
• Assign surgery beds and coordinate bed flow with surgical schedules.
• Collaborate with Nursing Administration on bed availability and patient placement.
• Lead rounds and ensure safety and quality across the unit.
