Job summary

WellStar Health System is seeking an RN Clinical Charge Nurse to direct daily unit activities on a full-time day shift (7am–7pm) in Georgia. The role oversees nursing care, coordinates interdisciplinary teamwork, and leads efforts to ensure safe, high-quality patient care while managing staff and operations on the unit.

The Charge Nurse functions as a resource to nurses and physicians, upholding standards of practice, ethics, and regulatory requirements, and supports governance and performance

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with current Georgia license and BLS/ACLS as required.
• Experience in acute care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exemplary Practice and Outcomes: monitor and improve patient care quality and safety.
• Rounds on every patient daily to evaluate care and address issues.
• Coordinate nursing care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice.
• Lead and mentor team members; provide staff scheduling and round support.
• Ensure safe, age-appropriate and culturally aware patient care.
