Orchard Health & Rehab in Pulaski, GA is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our dedicated team. This full-time day position administers physician-ordered medications and conducts routine care for residents in a non-profit care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Aide in Georgia required.
• Certified Medication Aide in Georgia required.

Responsibilities

• Administer physician-ordered oral, ophthalmic, topical, otic, nasal, vaginal and rectal meds.
• Administer insulin, epinephrine and B12 per physician direction.
• Administer meds via metered dose inhaler.
• Perform finger-stick blood glucose testing.
• Administer enema as ordered by physician.
• Document medication administration or declination per guidelines.
• Report unusual reactions to meds to resident, family and health care provider.
• Store and dispose of meds properly.
• Provide routine patient care (bathing, grooming, dressing) as needed.
• Perform dressing changes per clinician orders.
