Job summary

Richcroft, Inc. is seeking a Community Support Specialist for the Balt County/Group 18 to deliver direct support services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community settings. The role requires daily transport to programs and home-based reporting.

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm, with a pay rate of $22 per hour. Compliance with regulations and safe, engaging community activities are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities.
• Must be at least 20 years of age or older.
• Possess a full valid driver’s license (not a Provisional DL).
• Have at least 2 years driving experience; clean driving record (no more than 3 points).
• Must have access to a reliable vehicle for daily use with current automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Works 1:4 to assist individuals daily within community-based activities.
• Ensures timely and accurate record keeping of activities, notes and goals.
• Ensures compliance with COMAR, DDA, and Richcroft regulations.
• Models appropriate behavior and assists in conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Maintains regular communication through written progress notes and meetings.
• Performs other duties, responsibilities and special projects as needed.
• Attends in-service training and staff meetings to facilitate development.
• Uses technology for job duties (Email, Text Messaging, Timekeeping).
