Job summary

Chrysalis is seeking a Day Service Professional to support adults with intellectual disabilities in daily activities and community outings. You will be a role-model, mentor and friend, helping individuals participate in activities while ensuring safety and respect.

Shifts run Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a wage between $16.00 and $17.75 per hour. Candidates must pass a background check, be 21 or older, and able to communicate clearly in verbal and written form.

Qualifications

• Be able to work from 8 am to 4 pm
• Pass a criminal background check
• Must be 21 years or older
• Communicate well verbally and in writing
• Accurately complete program documentation

This position requires the ability to work in stress-filled and safety-sensitive environments, make crucial decisions in regards to the care and treatment ofindividuals, and possess the ability to communicate those decisions effectively to the individual's team.

As a Day Service Professional you are a role-model,mentor and friend making a difference daily.

Day Service Professionals Responsibilities

Day Service Professionals work hand in hand with the individuals at the Day Program and out in the community to ensure they are safe, respected, mentored and having fun while participating inactivities with the individuals such asgoing to movies, fishing, bowling and playing games. Your main job is to create opportunities for the individuals to increase their quality of life.

Position Qualifications

• Be able to work from 8 am to 4 pm
• Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check
• Must be 21years of age or older
• Capable of communicating well in both verbal and written form
• Able to complete all assigned program documentation accurately and within the allotted time frames
• Have good judgment and able to handle crisis situations
• Have a positive attitude
